Why you will not find Vaskurel at MedPlus
MedPlus buys through distributors and lists products across more than a hundred branches and an app. To be on those shelves we would have to sign a distribution contract, accept the chain's margin on top of the distributor's, and hand over control of where and how long the pack sits before it is sold. We chose not to. Vaskurel ships from our warehouse, after our operator's call, and reaches you in days.
What MedPlus sells for blood pressure instead of Vaskurel
MedPlus stocks prescription tablets for blood pressure and a shelf of supplements for the heart. The tablets need a prescription and do what your doctor chose them for; keep taking them. The supplements on the shelf are usually multi-ingredient formulas with a long label: fish oil, vitamins, 50 mg of hawthorn, a trace of garlic powder.
Vaskurel is a different thing. Five actives at the doses the research used, 750 mg per capsule: hawthorn 400 mg, aged garlic 600 mg, hibiscus 200 mg, olive leaf 200 mg and CoQ10 100 mg a day. It is taken with the prescribed tablets, not instead of them, and it works on the vessel wall, the fluid balance and the heart at the same time. The full table is on the ingredients page.
Four questions buyers ask at the MedPlus counter about Vaskurel
Our operators hear these four back from people who went to a branch first. The answers are the same in every MedPlus store, because the reason sits on our side, not theirs.
«Can you order it in for me?»
No. Ordering in works through a distributor, and we have no distributor. There is no code for Vaskurel in the MedPlus system to order against.
«When are you getting it?»
Never, and the pharmacist is right to say so. We have not signed with the chain and are not planning to.
«Is there something similar?»
You will be shown a heart supplement with a long label. Check the hawthorn line: 50 mg against our 400 mg a day is a tenth of a working dose.
«Someone sold me Vaskurel here»
Then it did not come from us. Our pack has the batch printed on the box and an unbroken ring under the cap.
Where buyers look for Vaskurel in MedPlus branches
MedPlus counters in Lekki, Ikeja, Surulere, Victoria Island and Wuse hear the question most often, because that is where the chain is densest. The answer is the same in all of them, and so is ours: the pack comes from our warehouse by courier, to any address in the country.
